February Project Night!

 Come Get Your Project On!

We are going to be trying something new this year and we are really excited about it! We are having a PROJECT NIGHT every other month! We will be designing and offering a craft for you to sign up and make, OR you can bring your own project, OR you can just come and visit and get to know your fellow sisters! 

This coming month we are having our project night on February 6th from 7-9 at the Church! We are offering this super cute 10x10 canvas Valentines themed art piece as the craft for the evening! It is perfect for a shelf, a door hanging, or a mantle! Each canvas is $3 to make! Other paint colors and glitter colors will be available! Feel free to invite friends to this night! Money must be payed to Randi Ostler or Stacy Crumpton by Sunday February 2nd. We are so excited for our first Project Night!

Super Saturday Crafts

It's Super Saturday Time! 
We couldn't be more excited about the wonderful crafts we have assembled for you all. We hope that after you have had a chance to view and read more about them that you will be excited to! So, get the word out! Invite your family, your friends, your neighbors, and YES! Young Women are invited to! (Ages 12 and up.)

But first, here are some important Dates to Remember!

from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 
at the Stake Center

Now that we have all the formalities out of the way lets get to the good stuff, shall we!?!

1- Anthropology Inspired Hair Elastics $1.25 per Color Set  (10-15 min). These hair ties double as trendy bracelets. Made with super soft elastic they are perfect for all hair types.  Available in 4 fabulous color sets: Glamour, Tous Naturels, High Life, and Color Box.  Each color set comes with 4 hair ties.

2- Behold Him Nativity Block Kit $25  (2-2.5 hours): This Kit will make a wonderful addition to any Christmas mantel. Finished in neutral papers; this piece has the versatility to be left up all year if desired. The finished project measures 28 ½ in long and 13 inches tall at its highest point. The price of the kit includes: 8 pieces of Wood, Scrapbook Paper, ‘Behold Him’ Vinyl Lettering, Modpodge, Paintbrush, Black or Antique White Paint, Distressing Ink, and 5X10 Nativity Portrait.

3- Book Page Wreath $6.00  (1-1.5 hours): This would make the perfect gift for that avid reader or book lover in your life. Made out of used books, this up-cycled wreath can add a bit of whimsy to any room in your home. Price includes Used Book, Wreath Form, and Ribbon for hanging. Please bring your hot glue gun, and 35-40 glue sticks to complete the project.

4- Cake Plate $2.25  (5-10 min):  Come learn how to make one of “Pinterest’s” most popular crafts in minutes.  Plate, Candle Holder, and Epoxy are included in the price of the craft. 

5- Christmas Charger Plates $5 ea.  (5-10 min): These customized plates make great Christmas gifts. You have a choice of one of the following 3 quotes; “Believe,” “Wise Men Still Seek Him,” or “One Cry Awakened the World, One Birth Changed History, One Life Made All the Difference.” The choice of your plate color: (red, black, or silver), and vinyl color: (gold, cream, or black), are also included in the price of the craft.

6- “Come What May and Love It” picture frame $6.50  (5 min): This graphic print, created by Holly Lauritzen, gives this beloved quote by Elder Wirthlin a modern back drop.  Your choice of 6 different colors: Grey, Blue, Orange, Cream, Green, and Yellow, and a Black Frame are included in the price of this craft.

7- Earrings $5  (20-30 min)  All materials needed to make the earrings, as well as 3 colored bead options (black, natural, and white) will be provided in the cost of the class.

8- Etched Glass Dish $1.50 per name  (15 min) Tired of misplacing your nice glass bake ware? This will solve that problem. Price of craft includes: Choice of Name Cut into a Vinyl Stencil, Etching Cream, and Paint Brush. Please note that each vinyl stencil can only be used one time! Please bring your glass bake ware from home to etch! Note: If buying or bringing glass dishes from home the brands, “Anchor Hawking” and “Pyrex” colored bake ware work great. Some clear “Pyrex” have a difficult time accepting the etching medium.

9- Felt Christmas Ornament “Whimsy” $0.50  (15-20 min.):  (Pictured on the right side) All materials will be provided. No limit on this one! Contact Laura Clutter about customizing color options.

10- “Felted Wool Wreath” Ornament $0.50  (15 min): (Pictured on the left side) Please note that for this ornament only there is a 12 person limit. The first 12 paying crafters will be able to make this craft. 
One per person, please.  

11- Gratitude Banner Kit $ 6.50  (1-1.5 hours):  Add a little “swag” to your Thanksgiving mantle! This Banner serves double duty as both a great activity to use for an FHE on gratitude, and also as cute mantle décor throughout the Thanksgiving season. This kit comes with Clothespins, Scrapbook Paper, Distressing Ink, Modpodge, Paintbrushes, Coordinating Reusable Laminated Cards,  Dry Erase Marker, and Twine for hanging.

12- Halloween/ Christmas Treat Jars $1.50  (30 min.): These treat jars make a “spook”tacular neighbor or joyful teacher gift. Price includes, Jar, Paper, Ribbon, as well as the use of Punches, Inks in Multiple Colors, and 12 different Halloween and Christmas Themed Stamps. The combinations you will make at Super Saturday are endless. Candy not included.

13- Interchangeable Picture Frame  $5  (45min-1 hour): Can’t decide which 4x6 photo to display? Problem solved with the Interchangeable Picture Frame! Perfect for photo lovers and teenagers. Kit includes Choice of Wood Shape (oval or rectangle), Paint, Sandpaper, Finish Spray, and Clip. 

14- Magnetic Dry Erase Board with 3 Felt Flower Magnets $ 2.00  (20-25 min): This class will teach you how to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary with the use of hot pink, black, and turquoise felt, Hot Glue, Magnet Strips, and a bit of bling. This board would make a fabulous locker decoration or teacher gift! Feel free to bring your own colors of felt- may we suggest your school colors?

15- Nativity Story Block Kit $ 5  (1 hour): This Block is a unique way to retell the Nativity Story. Each kit includes, Wooden Cube, Paintbrush, Cream Paint, Vinyl Nativity Silhouettes, a FHE Idea and a 5X7 picture of Christ from the distribution center. (Not this awful one printed off my computer. :-D )

 16- Reverent Books $assorted  (5-10 min): These Reverent books make great gifts for kids and grand kids alike. A fun and educational way to learn Gospel Teachings. Offered in the following Titles and Prices:

18- Temple Plaque Kit $15  (2 hours): This class will be taught by guest crafter Holly Lauritzen. She will be teaching us how to make a stunning Temple Plaque for your home décor. Price includes 9x11 Wood, 8x10 Temple Portrait*, Black/Antique White Paint, Distressing Ink, Modpodge, and Paintbrush. * Please see display table for the list of temples and examples of finishes offered, or visit www.rusticpeacock.blogspot.com and on the right side click on the Temple name under Rustic Peacock Portraits to see Temple options.

19- Youth Temple Block $10  (1-1.5 hours): Taught by Holly Lauritzen this craft is a great gift option for teenagers and primary aged children. Included in the price of the craft is the 7x9 piece of wood, 5x7 Temple Portrait*, Black/Antique White Paint, Assorted Scrapbook Papers, Modpodge, and Paintbrush. * Choice of Boy or Girl font is available, see display table for examples. We are starting a playgroup! HOORAY! This is for EVERYONE who would like to get together to socialize. You do not need to have children to attend. 

Plan on Wednesdays from 9:30am-11:30am unless otherwise noted.
This is a come and go event.

It's time to get your craft on! This is going to be a monthly affair.
Come join the fun on 
Here's how Craft Nite works!

1. Bring a craft or don't. Feel free to come and bring any project you are working on: sewing, painting, scrapbooking, organizing, etc. You can also just come and socialize. 
2. Bring a snack to share or don't.  If you don't have one, please don't let that stop you from coming.
3. Come as you are. (Yes, this includes pajamas!)
4. Come and go. It is never too late, unless it's after midnight.
5. Feel free to bring your friends. The more the merrier. (Although we'd like to keep this to those who are 18 years and older.)
